Hollylodge are saddened to hear of the passing of May’s Dream, Group 1 winning daughter of Group 1 winning mare She’s Archie. May was born at the old Hollylodge farm on 5th Nov 2010 and was the image of her sire New Approach. May’s Dream was bred by our good friends the Dunn family who also own and raced She’s Archie with Darren Weir. May was meant to be as it took 5 covers by New Approach to get Archie in foal to produce this Gr1 winning filly. Hollylodge have followed May all her career since being born on the farm and sent to racing with Darren. She was a Group 1 winner of the SA Oaks same as her mother won in 2002. May amassed $813,670 in career winnings from 21 starts she raced from 1300m to 2000m and had 4 wins, 3 seconds and 6 thirds to her credit. May passed away this season after giving birth to a Not a Single Doubt colt who is doing well. A sad loss for our breeding industry and the She’s Archie family.
