Since selling our original Hollylodge farm at Avenel in 2011 we have now selected a new location quite close to our old farm and still located within 5 kilometres to Avenel township and the newly built Avenel Emergency Equine Hospital owned by S & S Vets, Terry Lowis and Associates.
The building of our new Farm has been in full swing since early August with brand new Horse Rail Fencing in place, 4 new Diamond Mesh foaling yards with steel shelters. New fencing around the farm, a brand new duel steel loading ramp for side loaders and rear loaders plus an enormous project of gutting and rebuilding the existing steel stable complex and fitting it out with a mare/foaling box and stables for sales prepping and weaning.
Originally commencing our operation in Kyneton in 1994 where Hollylodge began this new farm is our 3rd Hollylodge and it will be designed with safety first in mind for horses and workers alike, lots of work to be done yet but the finished product should look great.
Top pasture at present, we will also be cropping all the excess pasture for hay this year and then replanting oats.
Very exciting and the mares and foals look great.
